Hey beauty lovers out there!
I know I am probably a year too late to be doing this review but I'm just gonna do it anyways. So before we dive into the review of this product we must first analyse the ingredients present and talk a little bit on the product. This is a peeling pad (60 pcs), which means is a form of semi mechanical chemical exfoliant. Their brand marketing is crazy, every site I go their skincare is always promoting from FB to Instagram to Youtube commercials etc. But is this product worth the hype?
Why use a chemical exfoliant instead of a mechanical exfoliant?
Mechanical exfoliants are basically your scrubs. Scrubbing your face can be a little too harsh on your delicate skin. Opting to use a chemical exfoliant will be gentler to your face and you don't need to further scrub your face as the acids present in your chemical exfoliant does the job for you by chemically shedding your dead skin cells that makes your face look dull. Before you scream upon reading the word acids, rest assure that most cosmetics acids derived from foods.
Chemical exfoliating enhances the absorption of your other skin products (for example acne fighting products) as it allows better penetration into skin. Different chemical exfoliants provides different skin benefits.

What I love about the product:
- Alcohol Free
- Ingredients are gentle to skin making it great for sensitive skin
- Soothing and refreshing
- Contains [PHA] Polyhydroxy Acids (Gluconolactone) are the next generation of Alpha Hydroxy Acids, AHA. PHA's exfoliates the epidermis (top layer) of the skin.
I. Water soluble acid, dissolves dead skin on the epidermis leaving skin brighter, smoother and hydrated.
II. It works like AHA’s but is gentler due to its large molecule size penetrating into the skin at a much slower rate making it great for sensitive skin to use.
III. Its antioxidant properties protects skin from free radical and UV damage and helps strengthen skin barrier function.
IV. Unlike AHA’s, PHA’s, does not make your skin become more vulnerable to sun damage.
- Contains [LHA] Lipohydroxy Acid (Capryloyl Salicylic Acid) is a lyophilized derivative of salicylic acid with higher molecular weight and stronger lipophilic properties, which means it’s able to dissolve in lipids/fats. LHA's exfoliates the demis (second layer) of the skin.
I. Oil soluble acid, able to penetrates deep into the dermis (deeper skin layer) and break down sebum.
II. Anti-inflammatory, anti-microbial and non-comedogenic.
III. Great for acne prone and sensitive skin.
IV. A good alternative for those who can’t tolerate other chemical exfoliants.
- Centella Asiatica Extract (Plant based) There are many skin benefits of centella.
I. Anti-aging (The Flavonoids and Madecassoside are anti-oxidants that help neutralize free radical damage caused by sun protection).
II. Moisturizing (Rich in amino acids: great hydrating ingredient to soothe rough and irritated skin, Beta Carotene, Fatty Acids and Phytochemicals.
III. Soothing (Because of its main active constituent Asiaticosides that soothes and heals.)
Thoughts on product:
I’m gonna sound bias but there really isn’t anything not to like about the product, except for one thing. The fact that you can’t reuse the cotton pads makes it a little wasteful. I believe this product has the potential to be made into a liquid solution form and just be directly applied into the skin like a toner for example. There are many chemical exfoliants in the form on liquid bottle solution. There are also eco-friendly reusable cotton pads in the market. Personally, I don’t use any cotton pads when applying skincare as the cotton pads tends to absorb a lot of product.
This peeling pads work for my combination acne prone skin. I love how refreshing it feels. I usually use this after the double cleansing step before toner step. Instant hydration and exfoliation leaves my skin soft and supple. Chemical exfoliation helps your other products have better absorption.
For its price I think it’s worth trying for those who are new to chemical exfoliant or have sensitive skin. Then again, there are other new chemical exfoliants that are catered to sensitive skin that is worth checking out! See what works for you :D
