APRILSKIN Real Calendula Peel Off Pack Review

Let’s talk about the highly raved APRILSKIN Real Calendula Peel off Pack. The product claims to (clarify and soothe, Calendula deeply moisturizes skin. Nourishing floral ingredients and flower oil moisturize skin at the same time. Powerful formula removes skin waste and controls sebum. Takes care of daily skin concerns such as dead skin cells and rough skin.)

Ingredients:

Water, Polyvinyl Alcohol, Alcohol, Dipropylene Glycol, 1,2-Hexanediol, Polysorbate 80, Calendula Officinalis Flower, Xanthan Gum, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Peel Oil, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Oil, Disodium EDTA, Juniperus Mexicana Oil, Amyris Balsamifera Bark Oil, Salvia Sclarea (Clary) Oil, Calendula Officinalis Flower Extract, Butylene Glycol, Caprylic/​Capric Triglyceride, Calendula Officinalis Flower Oil, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Extract, Borago Officinalis Extract, Centaurea Cyanus Flower Extract, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower/​Leaf Extract

After double cleansing, I will apply a gentle chemical exfoliator (PURITO ABP TRIPLE SYGNERGY LIQUID) before applying the mask. You’ll only need to use the mask about twice a week for 30mins. When applied under my eye, there is a slight stinging feeling (Probably because of the alcohol content) that only lasts for a split second. Spread it evenly throughout the skin, it starts out being quite gooey but doesn’t drip all over, however, after about 15mins I started noticing the dried parts has sunk into the craves of my skin. Removal of mask is very gentle and satisfying. After removing the mask, my skin does feel smooth and a little plump. There is definitely added moisture to the skin as compared to the parts that wasn’t applied on. I will then use the APRILSKIN Real Calendula Peeling Pad to remove any excess mask residue and prep my skin for the Toner Step.

Final Thoughts:

In my opinion, this is something you don’t need in your skincare kit. It’s more of a luxury than a necessity. It does soothes my skin but then again there are single use face sheet mask that are able to soothe and with added skin benefits (for example hyaluronic acid – gives the skin an instant boost of hydration). Another thing to add on is, if you’re using this to remove skin waste, the APRILSKIN Real Calendula Peeling Pad or any other chemical exfoliant does the job pretty well and in science theory is more effective than a peel off mask unless it contains acids. Will I purchase this again, no. However, if it works for you then continue using it but I’d rather spend my money on something else instead.
